Caramel Crispy Treats
3 tablespoons
butter or margarine
10 oz.
Marshmallows
6 cups crisp
rice cereal
14 oz. Caramels
2 tablespoons
milk
½ cup chopped
toasted pecans
1 oz. Semi-sweet
chocolate
1 oz. White
chocolate
Microwave butter
in large microwaveable bowl on high 45 seconds or until melted. Add
marshmallows and toss to coat. Microwave 1 ½ minutes or until
marshmallows are completely melted and mixture is well blended,
stirring after 45 seconds. Add cereal and mix well. Press onto bottom
of foil-lined 9x13” pan, sprayed with cooking spray. Microwave
caramels and milk in medium microwaveable bowl 2 – 2 ½ min. or
until caramels are completely melted, stirring after each minute.
Pour over cereal mixture and spread to completely cover cereal
mixture. Sprinkle with nuts; press lightly into caramel with back of
a spoon. Place chocolates in a small microwaveable bowl and microwave
one minute or until they are completely melted, stirring every 30
seconds. Drizzle over nuts. Cool before cutting.
