Baked Potato Soup

2/3 cup butter
2/3 cup flour
7 cups milk
4 cups baked potatoes (peeled and cubed
4 green onions, sliced fine
12 strips bacon, cooked and crumbled
1 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
8 oz. sour cream
3/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper

Melt butter, stir in flour until smooth. Add milk, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens. Add potatoes and onions, heating just to boiling point. Reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Add bacon, cheese, sour cream, salt and pepper. Stir until cheese is melted.
